Volunteering

VOLUNTEERING

Our volunteers are an integral part of all that we do - researching, learning, teaching, doing. Volunteers come to learn and to grow, and often leave enriched in ways that they never imagined. They have a lasting impact on local communities, international environments, and their own lifetime experience.

VOLUNTEER LIFE

Volunteers live as a community, speaking at least in terms of our daily agendas and activities. Mornings will start-off together with optional daily balancing activities (which may include yoga and/or meditation sessions) and group breakfast, from where project updates may be discussed, common goal-setting laid, and resources allocated for the day. Volunteers will each have their primary project of responsibility which they will be learning all the facets of (in the case of Work-Exchange Volunteers), and in turn managing each of those areas - See our Projects section for more.

Volunteers will still be working together between projects and helping one-another out as required to get a full taste-of and hand-in the experience. Their days will be combined between tending to the above tasks with assisting in general maintenance and daily activities around the property, learning and exploration excursions to surrounding local areas, attractions, communities and projects, and other group activities with plenty of free time still to just relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Volunteering at Global Creek

Volunteering is not just about volunteering - it's about giving, learning, growing and experiencing.

YOU Choose how much time to work

Your time is YOURS to give, so YOU decide on the right balance for you; We do ask for a minimum, but you can decide to work more to pay less for your accommodation.

YOU Choose the right projects for you

Work-Exchange Volunteers get to choose their preferred Primary Project Area, so that you can really learn and gain experience in the areas that interest you the most.

Skills for a lifetime

Looking to learn something entirely new? Develop new skills to take with you for a lifetime.
Have a special skill to apply? Share with us what you know, to leave a lasting impression behind.

Explore and enjoy

You are coming to our area to learn and grow, and that certainly includes exploring the surrounding area too. You'll always have time to enjoy all that our area has to offer, and with a safe welcoming 'home-base' to come back to.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We provide shared accommodation in our family home, which is a 3-bedroom 2-storey house, the bottom floor a chocolate workshop with cooking space made completely of earth in the SuperAdobe style, the top-floor is wood construction (all of wood harvested from our own farm). The house has ocean views, and is entirely immersed in the jungle, looking out into the jungle with much wildlife often relaxing within meters of the patios. There is lots of patio space with hammocks all around, and also lots of space to relax and enjoy throughout the almost 4ha (10-acre) farm. We also welcome those with their own tents to camp in any one of 4-different platform+roofed areas around the property.
